The man in the store was knowledgeable, and was interested in getting the instrument that best suited our needs... and he did so beautifully, by doing a little jam session with my kid.
They played a few chords, and ended up singing a song together. He gave my kid several hints, and we ended up with the instrument that felt most comfortable.

“The owner runs the shop in Hilo. Where we bought an ukulele for my ten year old which she loved and unfortunately sat on during a car ride. We went back our LAST DAY on the Hilo side. He not only fixed her ukulele back to brand new, but also brought it to us on the OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLAND to pick up at the store in Waikoloa.
